Peters Italia cracks the 2 million euro mark in its 10th year of existence (with two and a half permanent employees and one freelancer). Turnover is distributed evenly across all three product families.
ELPETEC test laboratory is setting standards – Peters Research offers technical testing for type series and products and determines technical data on behalf of customers in the quality testing laboratory.
2021
Peters products in series for e-mobility: both Elpemer solder resists and ELPEGUARD conformal coatings are used in series for electronic components which are installed into e-vehicles of renowned manufactures from the USA, China and Europe. This is causing a real order boom.
2020
Foundation of Peters Schweiz GmbH: Service, sales and distribution for customers in Switzerland and in Southwestern Germany, now from within the own company.
Coping the Corona pandemic through a reasonable internal prevention system. 50 years under the Peters flag: In January 1970 Werner Peters took over Niederrheinische Lackfabrik and focused on special coatings for the electronics industry.
2019
Error culture (learning from mistakes): The Peters error culture distinguishes mistakes and misconduct. We learn from mistakes and thus constantly improve our performance.
Relaunch of the Peters global quality policy: International management meeting in Maastricht results in new quality guidelines for the Peters Group.
Re-equipping of the laboratory. New furniture for the lab, state-of-the-art fume cabinets and testing and inspection devices worth € 500,000.
IHK award: 1st prize for best company health management (50 to 500 employees).
2018
Filing for patent for Elpejet solder resist: By the patent Peters secures a niche in the highly competitive field of solder resists which are applied by inkjet technology.
Market breakthrough for screen-printable heatsink pastes. OEM customers realise advantages and fuel further development and product launch on a grand scale.
2017
The third generation – Britta Alfes, née Schwartz, grand-daughter of company founder, and Benjamin Alfes – strengthens the management of the family business.
Opening of Peters 3D- and Ink Jet laboratory.
In memoriam: On 1 January PCB Pioneer, company founder and Senior Manager Werner Peters passes away at the age of 85.
Filing of a European patent: primer for LED technology: Peters Italia ensures effective prevention of colour shift by cast resin potting.

Even stronger presence in Asia: Incorporation of Peters China (Shanghai) Ltd. and of Asia Pacific branches in Taiwan and Singapore

Incorporation of Peters Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Ltd., opening of showroom, Elpemer technical center and climate control laboratory; nomination of Laurent Morisset as Global OEM-Manager with home office in Paris.
First applications with Thermal Interface Paste TIP 2792 are realised for reliable heat dissipation and thermo-mechanical decoupling.

Peters becomes member of the Cree Solution Provider Program as a supplier offering solutions that are suitable for use with Cree LED products.
Development of high-temperature stable Elpemer® solder resists in line with the HELP project, a research project of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research on “High-temperature electronics for Electric Mobility”.

Incorporation of Peters Italia S.r.l. responsible for the sale and service of PETERS products in Italy

Publication of the reference book “Conformal Coatings for Electronics Applications”. The book meets with such global interest that it is also translated into English.

Developed from the fast drying and easy-to-repair conformal coating series SL 1307: Thixotropic conformal coating SL 1307 FLZ-T for dam-and-fill applications and black-/white-opaque conformal coatings SL 1347 and SL 1397 for lighting applications

Lackwerke Peters develops yellowing-resistant products for lighting applications: pure white solder masks SD 2496 TSW and Elpemer® SD 2491 TSW for substrate coating and white casting compound VU 4490/31 to protect the electronics

Focus on protection of resources: The innovative Conformal Coating ELPEGUARD SL 1500 FLZ is based on renewable primary products.

Twin-Cure®, the world’s first thick film coating with two curing mechanisms (UV cure and moisture reaction in shaded areas), is awarded the Research and Innovation Prize by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and qualified by Daktronics for coating scoreboards

The world’s first non-bleeding solder mask with optimum printing properties, suitable for Hot-Air Levelling, widely used in the “tiger states” of that time South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore

Lackwerke Peters develops its first conformal coating (SL 1300) for assembled pcbs for Hella and VDO for application on Knödel dip coating equipment

Takeover of “Niederrheinische Lackfabrik” in Krefeld with 5 employees.
Self-extinguishing UL-listed Wepuran casting compound VU 4459/41 SV, which took until 2004 to be completely superseded by the halogen-free version VU 4459/41 SV-HF from 1996.

Werner Peters
The pcb pioneers Werner Peters (Lackwerke Peters), Fritz Stahl (Ruwel) and Hermann Seul (Isola) develop the first mass-produced printed circuit boards in Germany. This was the dawn of pcb manufacturing in Germany and Europe.
