It is characterized by almost constant elasticity down to a temperature of -40\u00b0C,&#8221; reports Stefan Schr\u00f6der. The Global Product Manager Conformal Coating refers to long-term tests carried out in the climate laboratory of the headquarters located in the Lower Rhine region where the Peters Research R&amp;D team is based.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the only full range supplier of coatings materials for the electronics industry worldwide, Peters understood the need for a high performance, high speed conformal coating to meet the demanding requirements of today\u2019s manufacturers. Peters turned to their partner Novagard Solutions, Inc., the high-tech company from Cleveland, Ohio to develop and manufacture this innovative silicone material. The resulting product reflects the commitment to quality of two established brands: Peters and Novagard. ELPGUARD\u00ae UV Twin-Cure\u00ae DSL 1707 NV-FLZ is a testament to the growing cooperation with Novagard in the field of silicone-based coating materials for printed circuit boards.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Usable over the entire surface of assembled PCBs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Our ELPEGUARD\u00ae UV Twin-Cure\u00ae DSL 1707 NV-FLZ can also be sprayed and is suitable for coating large areas,&#8221; says Stefan Schr\u00f6der when describing the newcomer. According to the graduate engineer, assembled PCBs can therefore be coated thinly and yet durably using the spray process. This is a new feature of this product range. The already familiar ELPEGUARD\u00ae UV Twin-Cure\u00ae DSL 1707 FLZ coating system can only be processed using a dispenser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sustainability is ensured by the fact that the thick-film coating does not release any solvent emissions when processed. In terms of costs, the dual curing mechanism of the Twin-Cure\u00ae systems shortens process times, thus saving time. What is sustainable is that the coating can be repaired easily. Stefan Schr\u00f6der: &#8220;This ensures that it can be recycled.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new silicone conformal coating is particularly suitable for high-temperature applications. Stefan Schr\u00f6der: &#8220;The silicone remains permanently elastic and also allows higher selective layer thicknesses without compromising on quality and<br>properties.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Durable, robust, temperature-resistant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bottom line is that ELPEGUARD\u00ae UV Twin-Cure\u00ae DSL 1707 NV-FLZ combines three advantages in one coating system: chemical resistance, physical robustness and, as a highlight, permanent temperature resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Ensuring climatic resistance and flammability ratings for our customers\u2019 specifications were key goals when developing this new product,\u201d says Stefan Schr\u00f6der. It was certified UL 746E after a series of tests proved.
