ELPECAST® casting compounds
ELPECAST® casting compounds protect and insulate electronics, sensor technology and lighting electronics against extreme weather conditions and aggressive media. A large variety of transparent and opaque products fulfills numerous individual requirements and customer requests.
ELPECAST® Wepuran casting compounds (polyurethane UR)
a large variety is available in terms of viscosity, colours, processing time and pot life; numerous hardness and elasticity adjustments cover the full range of shore hardness; good resistance against water, moisture, lyes, acids and many chemicals; elastic adjustments are a low-cost alternative for silicone casting compounds
ELPECAST® Wepuran VT 3402 KK series
- crystal-clear and highly transparent
- very high optical transparency with low optical damping
- very good weather resistance, extraordinary UV light stability and good thermal resistance
- for outdoor use or underwater applications, in flexible LED strips, aluminium profiles and more
- transparent colouring by dyestuff concentrates
- an even light diffusion effect can be realised with the ready-to-use hazy casting compounds VT 3402 NV-H/1 to H/4, the opaque top coat VT 3492 LS or the hazing paste
- auxiliary products recommended: Accelerating Agent B 4402, adhesion promoter AP 4 LED, sealing mastic EH 13.271, mould release agent EH 13.650, cleaning agent R 13.780

ELPECAST® Wepuran VT 3406
- colourless transparent with good weather resistance and UV light stability
- for moderate demands on optical properties, e.g. for encapsulating assemblies that must remain permanently visible
