Peters shows new possibilities with inkjet solder resist

The Elpejet® IJ 2467 inkjet solder resist from Peters enables additive manufacturing technology. Its use results in CO₂ savings of up to 50% in the solder resist process. In addition, several process steps are eliminated. Whereas the conventional process involved pre-drying, exposure and development, for example, these steps are no longer necessary. All that remains is printing. The inkjet also enables improved electrical properties under high voltage.

Inkjet solder resist presented in 4 colours at productronica

The inkjet solder resist is available in red, green, blue and black. Initially only available in green, the other colours will now also be presented at productronica 2025. ‘The larger colour palette expands the portfolio appropriately and gives a better visual impression,’ says Peters application engineer Tobias Borgert. The coating engineer will present the inkjet ink at the Peters stand B3.343 within the world’s leading trade fair for the development and manufacture of electronics, taking place from 18 to 21 November 2025 in Munich.

The Peters product itself was already presented at productronica in 2023. Now, after two years of use, the solder resist has finally left the laboratory stage and has been used on an industrial scale for months without compromise.
